The decluttering process isn’t a painful one and doesn’t need to be. To help you get started, here are some creative ways of decluttering your home. Continue reading

Top 3 Films shot in North London
StandardI have sourced what I believe are the top 3 films that were shot in North London. I must admit that it was difficult, but when I found these films I was shocked. So here they are:
Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix
The first film that I found was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Harry Potter is based on the JK Rowling books; if you have never seen a Harry Potter film, I recommend them highly! The order of the Phoenix is the fifth out of 7 films.
Claremont Square is the Islington place we see. Before that we see some fantastic places in London including Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, House of Parliament and Blackfriars Bridge.
I have found some fantastic images from lightscameraislington.com they are below. Harry and his friends appear from behind some trees and a few seconds’ later Number 12 Gimmauld Place shows.
Later on in the movie we see Claremont Square, this is a fantastic movie. Moving onto the next movie!
Love Actually
Love Actually was created in 2003 directed and wrote by Richard Curtis. Its main Stars are Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon and Liam Neeson. This revolves around eight different couples before Christmas who live their lives very differently.
Islington is seen in the film when they visit The “South Bank” Gallery which in fact isn’t on the South Bank but in Great Sutton Street just off St John’s Street. In the Movie we mainly only see the inside of the building, but it’s good enough!
Shaun of the Dead
Shaun of the Dead is a comedy zombie film. I absolutely love this film, this has got to be on of my favourite films EVER! Created in 2004, directed by Edgar Wright, and written by Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright. The starring actors in this film are Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, these are also stars in Paul & Hot Fuzz. This Film was mainly based in Islington, if you have never seen this film, seriously watch it!
In the latest news, the brand new Disney film Inside Out, it is now out in cinemas near you, my closest one in Islington is HERE
5 Cheapest Places to eat in Islington
StandardThere are many problems about living in London. One of the main problems is the price of food. I have put together a list of the cheapest but best places to eat in Islington. I have lived in Islington since I was born so I know a lot of fancy restaurants for cheap. So here is a list of the 5 cheapest places to eat:
Afghan Kitchen
35 Islington Green, N1 8DU
Afghan Kitchen comes as a spice-infused breathe of fresh air. This restaurant is Tiny, seriously tiny, with only 5 tables! It is very cosy and the food is just delicious. If you have a chance to get a table seriously book it. You will not regret it!
Antepliler
139 Upper Street, N1 1PQ
One of two Antepliler branches in North London, there’s a swanky interior that takes some getting used to. In comparison, the dishes are so good you’ll be blown away the moment you whiff what’s cooking. This is Turkish cuisine at its best, enthused by the flavours of the Gaziantep province.
The Breakfast Club
31 Camden Passage, N1 8EA
You’ve seen the film, now prepare for a similar response towards this great value Saturday morning hangover cure. Set in Camden Passage- a delightful thoroughfare of boutique shops and antique-peddling gems, thanks to The Breakfast Club’s small size the queues can be huge, but the Eggs Benedict is worth waiting for.
Indian Veg
92-93 Chapel Market, N1 9EX
Do you know a place that serves an all-you-can-eat vegetarian buffet for under £5. Well I have found one for you, Indian Veg has frequently been mentioned amongst Londons’ top tier of non-meat food restaurants, and for some very good reasons.
Angel Central
21 Parkfield Street, N1 0PS
This shopping centre is perfect for all types of food! Angel Central has an abundance of places to satisfy those hunger pains. From Ed’s Easy Diner with it’s 1950s America stylings and Gourmet Burger Kitchen, to Wagamamas and the ultra-healthy Itsu.

StandardJust found this really cool video on last years London Fashion Week, this one is all about mens street style.
GIVE YOUR BATHROOM A SUMMER RENOVATION
StandardI have been looking around for some articles focusing on Summer Bathroom Renovations. I have gathered together three great articles that are definitely worth taking a look at!
The first article I found is from House to Home. This slideshow is perfect for trying to figure out what sort of bathroom you want! There is around 2000 images on the slideshow but I believe that a good 10 minutes you should know what you really want. I love this slideshow, it shows some amazing images and some fantastic Home Bathrooms!
The Second article I found is give your bathroom a summer facelift, in one shopping trip. Now two reasons why I found this article amazing are firstly, you can do your bathroom renovation and secondly it’s all in one shopping trip. How can you go wrong? This article talks all about accessories for your bathroom, from a Toothbrush holder to a cardboard stool! This one is worth a read.
Thirdly is a blog post from sheknows it is named Summer Decor Guide for Bathrooms. This blog post talks about some of the best essentials for your bathroom! Again this is for ideas, the prices are all in US Dollars. I am sure you can find alternatives in whatever currency you use. I forgot to mention that this blog post is made up from mood boards – this allows you to pick your perfect layout.
In my opinion these are three of the best articles. I hope to use them myself when I renovate mine, which hopefully won’t be long.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and viewing the articles. Thanks Guys 😀

A Brief History On The O2 Academy Islington
StandardThe O2 Academy Islington is one of the most popular venues in the United Kingdom. The music venue holds indoor roughly 800 people for indoor entertainment shows. The venue, which is located on Parkfield Street in Islington, is one of the main focal points of London entertainment. There is quite a bit of history to be had here, even though it has only been around for roughly a decade.
The O2 Academy Islington was built and opened in September 2002. When the venue originally opened, it had one main occupant. The music and dining experience Marquee N1 headlined the venue for a period of time. Once this engagement ended, the venue closed for a period of time. A re-opening and launch of the venue took place in September 2003, and it has been going strong ever since. Continue reading
